What does a $10k Wedding Flower Budget get me?

Wedding flowers are an investment.

With a budget of this size, you can get an abundance of beautiful blooms and foliage. If you are seeking that ‘wow’ factor like you might see on Pinterest, then this is for you. It really opens up your options and possibilities to create a feeling of a floral wonderland. We personally work with you to design a collection of statement florals that bring your vision to life. Below are just some of the ideas of what we can do for you.

For the ceremony, an aisle runway of a field of flowers, or an archway adorned with gorgeous foliage, including premium blooms but without overpowering or obstructing the natural surrounds. Some beautiful candles, hurricane lamps and glassware really do add to the overall feel in this setting.

For the reception, this is where you can create something totally unique that suits the feel of your big day.

An abundance of blooms on guest tables.

Think of an extended floral story tablescape with a collection of vessels running along the centre of the table filled with beautiful premium blooms. These are generally low rise. You could also create a high rise option in taller and larger statement pieces, ensuring this doesn’t obstruct the frivolity of your guests.

A ceiling installation over the bridal table or dance floor has impact.

This includes an abundance of foliage layered with or without blooms. This could also be done over the guest tables (for this I would recommend in smaller collections or candelabra style).

For the bridal table you could have a stunning installation of foliage and premium blooms, gently cascading down the front of the table in front of you as a married couple. Another option is a full foliage garland runner cascading down the sides of the table, which could even be done with premium blooms.

Guests notice the small details, right?

A floral feature arrangement as you welcome your guests makes a big difference, so I would consider this - imagine being met with a glass of bubbles and an abundance of beautiful blooms! These could be large urn feature arrangements, or a collection of stunning glass vases with premium blooms. This really creates an inviting reception area and sets the feel for the next part of their experience.

As part of our service offerings, we have a decadent hand picked collection of antique and vintage glassware and candleware that really adds elegance to your overall aesthetic, complimenting a floral story tablescape. Interwoven with pillar candles, the look is gorgeously elevated and magically striking.

You can have so much fun creating a floral wonderland!

Be bold, embrace the theatrics of mother nature and create something memorable for you and your guests.

$7,500 - $10,000

With this budget, we are often looking at a collection of personal flowers, large statement/impact pieces at the ceremony (for example, urn arrangements or an archway PLUS aisle flowers OR a feature chuppah installation). For the reception, the budget could allow for a hanging feature as well as flowers and candles for the tables.

It is almost impossible to provide all details on each and every budget because every couple’s wedding is unique. The above looks to provide some guidance on what items can be accounted for within a budget.

You’ll note we haven’t mentioned lots of smaller pieces so often requested – flower crowns, cake flowers, rose petals, junior bridesmaid posies, gift table arrangements. There are literally hundreds of scenarios and combinations so we have left these out to try to keep things simple for you.

Also, prices will vary quite a bit depending on the number of flowers used and many premium blooms are to be included. Peonies, orchids, etc. are more premium flowers and the budget needs to account for this.

It is also important to be aware labour charges can vary dramatically as each venue has its own rules on when we can set up and when we need to pack down. All of this has an impact on costs for the day. Labour charges also change depending on the time of day we need to set up/pack down as well as the day of the week (Saturday and Sundays incur premium labour charges and early morning set ups and late night pack downs also incur premium labour charges).

From our perspective, we are super excited to work with couples regardless of your budget.

Our minimum spend is $1,000 and we are always happy to provide suggestions on where the money is best spent, where to get ‘the most bang for your back’ at your venue and how to make the greatest impact on the day.

Finally, remember every florist prices differently and it might be that florists in your area charge more for some items than we do. We’re simply looking to provide this as a guide to help manage expectations, rather than as a bible for the purposes of a formal quote.
