A bit about me.…

My name is Tané and this means goddess of the forest in Tahitian. Growing up this was a constant nuisance as no one could pronounce my name. Now I am very grateful for such a unique and beautiful name and it represents who I am.  

I grew up around timber and more importantly the smell of freshly sawn timber and have fond memories of playing in sawdust stacks with my brothers. My father was a timber merchant and now so is my brother. My grandfather was a bridge builder, my extended family were vegetable growers and (some that I don’t know much about) way back in early Sydney settlement days were garden merchants.

I love anything and everything about nature and flowers.

Growing up on the beautiful Mid North Coast in sunny Sawtell all I wanted to do was to be at the beach and swim in the waves, lay on the soft white sand and hear the birds squawk above, the wind blowing in my crazy curly salty hair, whipping up the sand dunes, and idly watching the clouds dance in the big blue sky above me.

I love travelling, food and music and I am passionate about travelling the least travelled route, discovering secluded beaches and coves, trekking in rainforests, snorkelling off coral reefs and indulgently trying new foods and taste sensations.

Have I told you that I also love decadent chocolate (the more indulgent the better), I love laughing with my friends and dancing by myself in our lounge room. I love my family and really enjoy getting back to nature as often as I can with them. When I was at school and thinking about a career, all I wanted to be was a travel writer.

I have always been somewhat obsessed with colour and in many ways design...the hues, tones, textures, contrasts, for me I’ve always thought about what goes with what, and often there are no rules only what feels and looks right in that moment. I love decorating, designing, planning the use of colour and how it all works together.

In essence I love flowers, foliage, design and colour. Floral designing incorporates many of my passions and bringing nature into everyday life to let its natural beauty shine. Wild Blossoms Floral Co is all about delivering exquisite, romantic and whimsical blooms to bring wonder and smiles through the art of flowers exactly what mother nature celebrates every single day.
